There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. We are about to take a two week trip to Jackson, WY and surrounding area. I need suggestions on what to do to my Spyder to make the ride more comfortable.

We took a trip to TN in June and it wasn't bad at all...my husband ('08 Goldwing) had more issues with a sore bootie than I did! I just ordered an Artic Sheep seat cover, am looking for highway pegs and....anything else?!?!

I will be pulling my trailer too....

Thanks!!

I am female rider as well. Backrest for me works wonders. Also did 2wk trip on mine with hubby on HD. Utopia makes great backrest with matching stitching to stock seat. Also, Seal Floorboards. I was able to move my legs and feet back and forth during long hauls, and they really are relatively easy to put on! You mentioned your seat pad, I use an Airhawk pad. Quite comfortable on stock seat. Other than that, have a Great road trip. Makes me jealous! And be prepared for colder temps around Jackoson Hole this time of year.:ohyea:

Back rest for sure

like Snauzermom said, a backrest will make all the difference even on a RT. I Ryde an RS and my Corbin seats and back rest put me in a better position for longer rides. I can't wait til I retire so I can go on really long rydes. Right now it's limited to within the state of Florida. I'll get there, only 74 more working days, not that I am counting. Have fun, stop when your tired and Ryde safe.

Welcome to Spyderlovers and you definitely want to be prepared for cooler weather and maybe even some of that white stuff falling from the sky.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

schnauzermom.....Thanks for the recommendations!! I think I'm too short to get a back rest...I really don't lean back on the normal as it is! LOL Nobody has mentioned highway pegs or possibly the thing that blocks the heat on the foot...I think I've seen it called SpyderPop?!?!

JHarpo.....Congratulations on your upcoming retirement!!! I just retired August 31st and am so excited!!! I can't wait to see what it'll be like the next few months...I hear it takes a while to adjust! The bike ryde is going to be perfect for adjusting!!!

Rustler....thanks for the welcome! Since I am now retired, I'm hoping to use this site often! I've already found similar scenarios and questions!!

It is important to know which Spyder you have, RT or RS. Also, most of the backrests are adjustable as far as tilt. I have mine tilted forward to a position where it is most comfortable. Highway pegs are a must otherwise your legs will cramp.

I have a 2011 RT that I bought the middle of October 2011 and have over 7500 miles!! I've always been a passenger with my hubby, so I'm really excited about my own miles! :o)

After our trip to TN, I definitely wished I could 've changed leg positions! Any suggestions for a brand?

Also, does anyone have a cup holder?!? I think I may have to take a Camelbak this trip! LOL

drink2go.com and butler both have nice cup holders that work well on spydy. Electric clothes would be a plus this time of the year!
