Road therapy can take many forms.
Sometimes it is the most effective when you haven't a clue as to where you are or where you are going.
It can help to forget where you've been.
No matter where you live or how long you have lived there you can probably get yourself purposely, hopelessly lost.
And that's a good thing.
Maybe the terrain or a road sign gives you some kind of clue, but it won't matter.
When you point the two front wheels down a road that you don't know, whizzing past fields, farms or factories you don't recognize a certain letting go takes over.
I think most of us lead all too ordered and predictable lives.
It's high summer, the weather is beautiful and it's time to explore.
Cruising into the unknown, not knowing where you are or how you will get back is a welcome relief from the mundane, the scheduled, the ordinary.
Of course, people who have rydden with me can tell you I can get lost anywhere.
Maybe you should try it.
