• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. ROAD RAGE

GUILTY, LOCK ME UP. so there is someone that might be interested in my bike and wanted to see it.so i take the bike for a nice ride and he looked at it and liked it BUT he is not sure his wife will like the yellow so he will call me in a day or two.
so here i am on a pretty good high think i might sell the bike and all is going well on the way home. i am on the grand central parkway heading back home when i see a guy on a harley in the center lane wearing colors on his back and a large set of ape hangers on the bike, i will never understand what people see in ape hangers but to each his own. NOW he is in he center lane and i am in the left lane, so i speed up to pass him only because i have to do that to harleys as i am gaining on him from out of the blue a SUV from the far right lane cuts right across to the left lane almost clipping the harley in the rear tire and cuts me off in the left lane than slows down instead of speeding up to leave me room.
the harley guy looked at me and shock his head and that was it, the chase was on. i had to jam on the brakes and that scared the :cus: out of me and i figured i would give the driver a few gestures and a couple of words and i was even thinking of stopping him and talking in person. so after what seemed like forever i rode up along the side of the SUV and low and behold it was a woman driving and she refused to look at me. now i would NEVER drag a woman from her car and talk to her but i did pull in front of her and slow her down enough to worry her, at that point i came to my senses rolled on the gas and left her alone and got off at my exit.

i have to say the brakes on the bike work great and i am very happy i wear DELUTH ball room jeans and boxer shorts because i needed the room when i :cus: my pants. this was a close call and she didn't pay attention to the horn or the harley she almost knocked down, now that also makes we wonder why company's that make bikes put such small and low sounding horns on the bikes. i have a air horn but didn't reinstall it after took it out to re wire the bike for other options i was going to install. well that was my nice ride today

Glad this worked out and no one got hurt. My recommendation would have been to just let the idiot get as far away from you as possible.

i know the harley did but the italian in me got the best of me. i did calm down when i saw it was a woman

Had the same thing last week John, X2. Both women! As I said in my post, I'm not picking on women, but that day it was two female drivers that almost to us out. I had to reign in my anger too.

It's always better to let them get in front of you... WAY in front of you! Watch them disappear into the distance...
Besides; she's probably just dropped her snot-nosed kid off at karate lessons, and she's sat in on JUST enough of them, to really ruin you day!

Good Luck on the potential sale!! :2thumbs:

I knew a guy once who used to spray WD-40 at jerks windshields as he went past them.
I don't remember the guy's name now, but I think he stopped doing that.

Close one..!!

mostly road anger but glad you came out unscathed. Road rage..you would have done all you thought of. Glad you didn't cause it doesn't help anyway. Those people just don't give a :cus: and will attack you for being alive and in their way....:gaah:

TO BE HONEST

i really don't think she looked in her mirror or over her left shoulder, she nearly just missed the rear end of the harley and than just cut me off, it really upset me, i was doing about 65 mph and it would not of been a good out come. it takes a lot to anger me because as my ex would tell me when i would go nuts at people, YOUR GOING TO GET YOUR BUTT KICKED ONE DAY BECAUSE YOUR NOT AS YOUNG AS YOU USE TO BE. but after seeing her up close i think i could of taken her

Good advice! The other party always gets a say in things; even though you may intend on giving them a piece of your mind, they might feel like giving you a piece of their 9mm. Confrontation over some :cus: like what happended to you just isn't worth the risk.

Glad you and your ride are OK!

Knew a guy once, can't remember his name, who kept rocks in his pocket. If someone needed a wake-up call, he'd get in front of the vehicle, toss a rock over his shoulder, and give them the adios muchacho.

i have a friend that carries ball bearings he just does a flip over his shoulder, we give him plenty of room when we ride together

cuznjohn,

Age is only a factor when you can't remember why you stopped someone or are yelling at them with a hammer in your hand. Otherwise, you're good to go. Don't ever listen to what an ex had to say about you. Only go by what you are told here on spyderlovers.

Pennies work just as well as rocks or bearings, and doesn't everybody always have one or two in their pocket? Just don't wreck trying to get them out of your pocket.

when i worked and was still fat but solid i was what i thought was a tough guy, when we would go to picket lines at non union jobs they used to say, here comes the trouble maker. but now i am the first to admit i can no longer carry myself any more. so i have tried to tone down my temper big time. today just scared the :cus: put of me so i admit i went off the hook. in a way i am happy it was a woman because once i saw her i calmed right down and just did a lil yelling, but if it was a guy we would of most likely come to a stop than who knows

We can be nice to all and just ride and have fun. Some riders ride to look for troubles. I can ride away from troubles and I feel more safe.

God Bless us all :yes::yes:

:agree:

As far as throwing stuff on the road...
Who knows where it's going to bounce next? :dontknow:
You'll just end up wrecking some uninvolved "innocent's" day...

Very good point Bob. The bad guys seem to get away from the "bad karma" stuff for awhile. No guarantee where a tossed item is going to go. I would feel pretty bad to have something happen to an innocent person in a situation like this.
