• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Road ID

Jeriatric

Thinks out loud
Perhaps you already know of this but, just in case you don't. I never leave home without mine. In an emergency it provides 24 hr instant access to vital information. Check it out.

Road ID was created on the concept that active people should wear ID as part of their gear when participating in outdoor activities.

This piece of gear could save your life. In the event of an accident, if you can't speak for yourself, your Road ID will.

For the cost of a thumb drive, and a chain for around your neck you can do the same thing, update and change as often as you like for less that $20.00 MAX. and never pay another dime for life. Just a thought:popcorn:

Never even thought of a thumb drive on a chain. Got the Road ID. Found I didn't like the bracelet. Now wear the tag secured to the laces of my motorcycle boots.

That'll work. If, your emergency responder knows what that thumb drive around your kneck is for and has the equipment with him to access the information. Good luck :)

I agree. You want something quick and concise for them to read.... not a USB drive they have to fiddle with and try to read.

+1 on RoadID. I've been using one as a cyclist for a while. I'll just be ordering a couple of other attachment options to make it more visible to EMTs with motorcycle gear. It takes all the guess work out of everything and that's what you need most in an emergency. Hopefully none of us ever need it.

Thanks so much for the info on Road Id, I have a severe allergy to Penicillin and I do have it tattooed on my wrist with the medical alert symbol above it....this is just more insurance love it:clap:

Purchasing customized military grade dog tags engraved with critical information is another very inexpensive option. I got 2 reasonably high quality tags with 5 lines of engraved text on each from USA Dog Tags for under $6 total, including shipping. Put them on my :spyder2: keychain. Just another low cost piece of insurance for when you really need help quickly. ;)

Excellent idea I always wore my last set of military I'd (dog tags) and having access to the tag marker I made my spouse her on set which she hates because the chain is not designer grade or feminine .
