• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Road Force Balancing of Front Wheels

There has been a couple threads recently about balancing the front wheels using the more sophisticated Hunter Road Force machine. After having mine balanced by a local shop using the older type machine, and not being able to feel any difference afterwards, I chased down a Road Force operator and had the two front wheels rebalanced. This time it worked!

It is now so smooth you can't feel any vibration in the handlebars when on a smooth road with the cruise set. Really nice, and all for $20. For those who say some special adapter is required, that was not true in my case. I don't know if the pre-'14 wheels are different, but mine was easily fitted on the balance machine. I stood and watched as the Tech explained the process and attached new weights on inside, outside, and on one wheel a weight in the middle.

I should note that I wasn't at all sure I needed the wheels balanced! I rode a '14 RT of a friend yesterday to compare and neither of us could tell a difference. I just felt that it should be smoother and for that reason had them rebalanced.

For those familiar with the Can Am dealer in Winston-Salem NC, the tire dealer with the RF machine is just down the road; Mocks Tires. The operator said he'd done several other Can Am tires. Its made a believer out of me and when I get new car tires its going to be from this dealer. :)

Glad to hear you got a good balance. I have gone thru 3 balances & finally decided to add ride-on auto formula to see if it will cure the rest of the balance issue.

Lets hope so. The Tech did say he couldn't balance tires with Ride-on or other sealant in them.

I already have rideon in my fronts so I can't get mine balanced better until it is time to replace them.
It just blows me away that you could find 2 shops that had machines that your wheels would fit on and I went to 4 and none of them would fit.

I talked to Harry at ride on & it can be balanced with it in the tires. Just have to spin the tires a few times before proceeding with balance to spread the stuff out first

The reason some tire balances cannot balance every tire and rim are several reasons, did not buy all the adapters when purchased, over time they have become lost, misplaced or damaged..

Or the big reason they did not want to mess with motorcycles I.e. Spyders and their owners.
