I just returned from RKA (the soft luggae people named Richard and Kathy), located up north of San Francisco in Windsor for the installation of their IN Charge communicatin tank bag. Coming home to Claremont, CA (SoCal) I was able to enjoy CB, XM, FRS, telephone and GPS on the Spyder. I opted for the bluetooth helmet installation and as a result I have no wires between my helmet and the tank bag. Everything works seamlessly and flawlessly. I am still pretty amazed at the sound quality. This was a retirement present (from me to me) for many decades of hard work, etc.
Coming home to SoCal I had 3 sudden power losses on my Spyder in heavy freeway traffic. It was nice to be able to speak to a mechanic with my helmet on while sitting on the side of the freeway out of traffic. My bet is that the stripped bolt that holds down the main ground wire is the culprit. (The Spyder was delivered new this way.) Sure hope that the stripped bolt is the deal since it is so easy to correct. Spyder goes in to the shop for a definitive examination tomorrow.
