In the end of installing these risers on a 2009 spyder gs. I am a fair mechanic and have working on motorcycles for over 50 years but this is a tough one. I am not sure if it is the less than adequate directions or the taking of a saw to the stock bars or a little of each. A few questions? They are installed, look good and work as they claim, however what about the stock bar end weights, or the end caps. There are black plastic caps that come with the kit but they do not fit the end of the new bars? Advice: the gauge dash plastic they suggest you remove-be careful it can crack, I was able to take off lower panels, the rubber around the bars and get at the wiring ties. And yes the wiring ties took a long time to track down. Also you do not have to remove the rubber grip from the right bar-the whole thing comes off. What is it about the directions: Need larger print, break down the steps and more photos, I would skip the plastic around the gauges-too much of a chance of breakage-few done it before- suggest another way... Ok done.-thanks Jim.
