• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rivco Floorboards

Hi Kenny,

Re: Is anyone running the Rivco floorboards on their RS. If so, do you have pics?

Here they are on my '08 GS:

I found that they were way easier to install than the instructions would lead you to believe.

Those definitely appear to give you a much more perpendicular leg position. Do you like them?

Hi Kenny,

Re: Those definitely appear to give you a much more perpendicular leg position. Do you like them?

They allow me to put my foot flat on them, put my heel at the outer edge ( sort of like a highway peg ) and I can put my foot back so just my toes are on them. Yes, I like them. I am 6 ft tall for your info.

Hi Kenny,

Re: Do the boards require a relocation at all of the brake pedal?

You do NOT have to relocate the brake pedal. I found that the brake pedal hit me right in the ankle bone; and it was very uncomfortable to me.

You may not find it a bother; the relocator can be added later if you feel you need it.

Best of luck on whatever you do,

Rivco Foorboards and Braking

I love mine

These look great but I wonder how easy it is to brake particularly in an emergency? Seems like you need to lift your foot a lot to get to the brake pedal. Does look better with the iscs brake lever extension. Anyone have thoughts on the safety issue?

Shifter side

I'm looking to buy these, how's the shifter side? Would I need to modify by buying the toe shifter they sell too?

So the 12 RS was my first investment in a spyder, I learned quickly that I wanted a new set of boards, or pegs. I won a contest and actually got a set of passenger and driver rivco floorboards. I'm 6'3 and it's made riding so much more comfortable for me and my wife. I'll second that portion of the comments.

As far as stopping, if you get them installed, I'd do a little riding around some slow roads just for a few miles until you get the feel for the brake but honestly for me it wasn't a huge adjustment and I doubt it would be much of a problem for you. As for installation, it's fairly straightforward and easy for the driver boards, and they're actually very stable once you get them on. I did them myself with no issue. However, the passenger floorboards have continually gotten a little loose on me over time I think a little lock tight would fix that issue. Overall, I'd say if you're thinking of going the route of rivco it's very much worth it and does make a spectacular world of difference, and makes riding so much more fun.

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents. Enjoy the ride.

Thank you for that feedback! I ordered the driver boards and the shifter peddle from Rivco as well. They are on the way.
