Arlen Ness' Brother Kevin J Dies after Being Involved in a Motorcycle Crash
Kevin J Ness, brother to the famous motorcycle customizer Arlen Ness has succumbed to his injuries after being involved in a crash on the I-80 highway near Wells Avenue, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports. The accident occurred on July 30 and Kevin Ness’ bike was involved in a multi-vehicle collision.
Police reports that 62-year-oldl Harry D. Preston of Corning, California, while driving his silver-blue Toyota Camry failed to notice the slowed traffic ahead and swerved to avoid colliding with the vehicle in front of him. However, Preston did not observe the white PT Cruiser driven in the adjacent lane by Robert K Brackett in Ukia, California.
The Toyota and the PT Cruiser collided, resulting in projecting the former into another lane where Kevin J Ness, 59, was riding his 2008 Victory Vision, throwing him off the bike. He was immediately admitted into the Renown Regional Medical Center where he died Sunday night. Troopers have closed down the three lanes for several hours investigating the crash site.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is encouraging witnesses to contact Trooper Doug Farris, who is investigating the event. Those who can provide additional information can contact him at (775) 689-4614 or [email protected] and mention case number NHP-140702711. “Once the comprehensive fatality crash report is completed, any and all criminal charges will be recommended to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office for review,” an NHP press release mentions.
