• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rigid Saddlebags Can't Get Them Off

I've had my Can-Am Spyder R-35 Rigid Saddlebags for a while now and have never tried to take the bags off. I can't get them off! Finally got one side to work but the other side won't release both tabs on the bar. Can anyone help?

Sometimes you really have to push that button down with some force... use your palm and really but your weight into it... should pop off.

Make sure the key is in and turned 90 degrees...and as fire said, really push down hard on the button...the bags will release...just put some good thumb pressure into it...you're not gonna hurt the bag...it's pretty darn solid...

You know, three different posts to resolve one problem seems a bit excessive. One would do, and make it easier for you to find the answers. Patience, Grasshoppr!

At first, I used to rest the butt end of a wooden hammer handle on the red button and slap the hammerhead. Then, I got smart and lubricated the latch mechanism with a spray designed for lubing plastics. Worked the latch button while lubing. Works easy now.

I have had the same problem. While WD 40 and hammers may work I have found that the problem is too much pressure on the bag catch.

To get them off...well obviously unlock them.

Then lean against them putting pressure on the bag against the frame. I usually use my hip to do this. Push down on the button and they should come off easily.

I hope this helps.
