I just picked up my Spyder however I miss my right brake lever desperately. Maybe I'm from old school but I like a separate brake system as a backup just in case the unexpected happens.
I'm now researching adding a hydraulic brake lever and hooking it to the emergency brake lever/ mechanism. Since the front brakes have to work in perfect harmony to prevent right and left pull, the rear brake would be the easiest to deal with.
I did see one great brake mod from the user Lamonster using a cable to the foot pedal however this would not provide a separate brake system. In addition, I could weave the hydraulic line anywhere needed and not have to worry about binding.
Has anyone researched this theory before to save me some time?
