• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Right ankle heat

I've noticed an excessive amount of heat pouring though the kick panel next to the brake and the side panel just above it. Its more like a blow torch sometimes.

I suspect that its from the radiator fan but i can't be certain. If i didn;t know better it would seem that if the exhaust gasket blew it would be direct exhaust flow to the ankle. However, the mufler joints are not in the same posistion as the 08/09 RS models. Heck I dont even know if they still use exhaust gaskets on the RT-S.

What I may do is fashion a plate or aluminum guard along side the inner edge of the kick panel to keep the very hot air from blowing out in that direction.

Thoughts anyone ?

I've got over 3,000 miles on my RT-S and haven't noticed the heat problem that you're experiencing. Have you checked it out with the dealer?

The only time I've noticed the heat blast is when I'm in slow traffic. I've noticed the temp gage (analog) will be a about a needle width higher than normal, so I attributed it to the fan cranking into high gear. I'd be interested in what the dealer has to say about it though.
