• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have 2009 gs and wanted to give a woman a ride on bike, do I need to adjust shocks they are on 3, I also dont have a rear fender

back shock

it all depends on weight carried more than likley you will want to boost the rear to 5 follow the directions in the maunal to do this jack it up lube it and turn this does take some effort to move

Whatever you change it to, if the spyder handles well with the 2 of you, you may want to leave the shocks at the new settings even when in the alone mode.

Remember if your plate is mounted under your splash pan you will rip it off if your not adjusted to 5 !!! Ask me how I know. :roflblack:

:dontknow: But I would imagine that it's got to hurt less than making the mistake that I previously mentioned! :roflblack:
Randy... How much of a difference is there??? (He'll know for sure!)

if i adjust to a 5 how much different is the ride for me?

The ride will not noticably change at all, but if you hit a big pothole it might feel like you hit it alot harder than usual. Other than that, it's all good at 5 and I even leave it at 5 even when I ride alone.

This seems like a "loaded" question to me. I concur with setting up the shocks. The bike is rated at 450 lbs but you never did state how heavy you and your passenger would be total. Whenever adjusting shocks wear gloves. The spanner wrench that came with the bike is short and thin and requires considerable leverage for the rear shock. I used a cheater but you didn't hear that from me. That can be very unsafe.

You do not use the "Spanner wrench" to adjust the rear shock on a RS. :lecturef_smilie:
