Anyone know of anything going on this weekend. Looking to ride Sat and Sun. We can do Michigan, northern Indiana, and norhtern Ohio. Thanks.
The forecast looks to be a wet weekend.:gaah:
I see a forecast for partly cloudy, 86...
Dan...Are you talking about the BBQ Shack?..That was the place that my brother in law owned but he got transferred to Texas and it's been sold...What was the place that was suggested over by Battle Creek?...Think it was RHansen that posted that...not sure...I'm up for a ride anytime and will go where ever...I don't care about the destination, just the ride and seeing folks so it doesn't matter to me..![]()
Larry, the #1 ranking from MLive was for West Texas Barbecue Co, Jackson. #7 in the rankings is called Hogzilla over in Battle Creek. Thoughts? I need to check with Geri to see if she's interested in riding or is going to spend the weekend getting ready for school. Randy - any thoughts?
As for me, I could be happy having lunch at the Wells. I love their salads. But I'm always up for something new.
This place was recommended by a co-worker. It's located near Irish Hills. Is anyone else familiar with it? This might make for a nice ride and meeting place. The menu looks good! A good selection of salads and sandwiches.

Randy, I've ridden there for lunch a number of times, and even went over for dinner one evening. It's very good, but this weekend, being a holiday weekend closing out the summer, my guess is that they will be jammed. They are directly across the street from Clark Lake, which is just a few miles west of Brooklyn. Nice place.
Sounds like we're going to meet at the Wells at 1 pm for lunch. Then for those interested, a ride to Hudson Leather will follow: http://hudsonleather.com/. You can get their address and directions from the link. But they will be jammed with bikers, as you'll see if you go to the link. First time Geri and I stumbled upon the place was a big poker run and they were jammed then, too. But a fun place to visit. Another possible stop is Hidden Lake Gardens in Tipton. Real pretty botanical gardens, located on Route 50 in Tipton, MI, with a small entrance fee.
We'll all want to keep an eye on the weather so we don't get caught in the remnants of Isaac! That reminds me - Geri will be really mad if it rains and I leave her raingear on the BMW GS!
Cindi & I will be there...![]()
Hi all,
I looked at the Hudson leather site - Hudson leather in Pioneer, Ohio - and they have a free lunch - hotdogs on the grill, lemonade on ice, lunch on them!! So I'm thinking to still meet at the Wells at 1 but then going to Hudson leather to eat. The flyer looks like it will be a good time. What do ya think!!!
Hi Rich (or do you go by Rick?),
We can discuss this at the Wells. My difficulty is that I really try to avoid hot dogs, much as I love them, and I also suspect Hudson Leather will be really jammed. But we can do whatever the majority likes and I'll just try not to be too hungry when we meet! LOL
