• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good morning Spiderlovers! Well today I seal the deal trading my Harley Road Glide for a 2012 RT:yes: Now all I need is patience waiting for the weather to improve. -40º with wind chill this morning:mad:

Having ridden Harley's for 22 years, I have tons of Harley riding apparel (anybody interested):) I now need to pick up some generic riding clothes. I'll be looking for a summer, and a 3 season jacket. I'd like to take advantage your experiences with riding jackets, and would appreciate any insight and suggestions you may have.

Thanks in advance, and have a GREAT day......

I have the Can Am Cruz Jacket and pants. The Jacket is warm in winter, down to say 37 or so degrees, and pants are as well with a base layer. Both are pretty H2O resistant, and pretty darn wind proof too.

keep the Harley clothes for now, they are made good and fit. upgrade when you find good deals. Bajaron one piece thermal suit is a good deal.

I would stay with the Harley gear it is far better quality then any thing BRP has out there right now, unless you are looking for aftermarket. Spyder lovers don't care what you are wearing as long as you are on a Spyder.

:agree: Keep the clothing that has worked well for you...
Blame it on, "Multiple Personalities...":shocked::shocked:

I would agree with those who said to keep the Harley gear. Who cares what logos are on the gear if it works? However, if you want generic gear that works over a wide temperature range, I will suggest looking at a Tourmaster Flex jacket. It is a 3 piece garment that quickly converts from a summer mesh jacket to a winter, water repellent jacket. I have worn mine in 100+ degrees down to mid 30's and it works well over the entire range. Mine is 3 years old now and shows a little wear around the collar but still very serviceable.

HD gear is good stuff. I would not part with it. You spent good money and it will last forever. I like the identity crises replies--but you could re-configure if you feel it necessary.

us spyder Ryder's ain't prejudiced...wear the Harley stuff. It's ok.. We will love you anyway...or maybe because you do....

Nothing wrong with wearing HD stuff while riding your Spyder. It will be worth more in the spring, early summer, if you do decide to part with it. And by then you'll have had time to scope out your options. One of which is to just keep riding into the sunset with your HD gear!

:agree:

My gear is all different brands (and none of it Can-Am!), but my "doo-rag" for wearing under my helmet and my boots are Harley-branded, and nobody's ever said a thing.

(They may point and laugh for other reasons, but not because of the Harley items I'm wearing! :roflblack:)
