There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Riding from Georgia Into Florida

Hubby and I live in Michigan and want to tow our bikes partway to Florida (south of the snow and cold) and ride to Clearwater. Does anyone know of a place around or south of Atlanta that we could park our truck and trailer for a couple of weeks while we visit Florida on our bikes? Also, any route help would be appreciated. We prefer to NOT ride on expressways.

When I use to drive from Clearwater to Louisiana and wanted to avoid Interstate i would get off around Perry in Florida and take the old road down through Tarpon Springs and into Clearwater. Only thing I did not like was passing a nuclear plant along the way. The road was older, had a lot of towns but was enjoyable if not pressed for time. I think it is Hwy 19 if I am not mistaken. I will be in Clearwater myself on March 5 and 6 for court but will be flying into Tampa. Maybe this will help but I am sure many Floridians can give you better routes. Ride safe.

I wish you had given more information about your plans. Which routes are you looking at? I would not recommend trying to find a safe place around Atlanta but there are probably some place south of there on I-75. You could look for a truck stop (nice one like Flying J, T/A or Pilot) that would let you leave your rig there. If you want to work your way down the east coast, you might be able to talk Jacksonville Power Sports or their other store in Yulee. There are probably a lot of ideas - maybe someone goes to a church that would let you park it.

If you have more information let me know. There are a lot of options for back road rides but you need to know which ones you might be looking at. If I can help you with some more information, let me know ...

First welcome to Sunny Florida. Now If you want some info on coming to Florida as a trucker for over 40 plus years, I would suggest this as a much better way to come down. Take I-69 south to Indianapolis then picking up I-65 to Nashville,TN then onto Moutgomery,AL picking Hwy 231 south to Dothan,Al picking Hwy 84 east to Baindridge,GA from there take HWY27 south to I-10 east exit off I-10 at exit#225 this is Hwy 19 follow south to Clearwater,FL You'll have a much better trip for scenery. John

Thanks for the advice, johnnyg; actually we explored that ride, but were trying to reduce the mileage somewhat. Going to Nashville takes us pretty far west, but I agree that seems like the most scenic route and we may just end up doing that, since we have a friend near Nashville that will probably let us leave our truck and trailer at his place.

Thanks for the advice -- actually am looking for someplace secure, south of Atlanta -- on or near I-75. As far as route from there into Florida, we prefer anything other than expressway -- old US 27 is suitable, if the road is still in decent shape (it's really bad in parts of Michigan due to severe winters and lack of upkeep.)

WE are south east of Atlanta and have space for your truck and trailer for a couple of weeks.

I just sent you a PM.
