There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. As a prospective Spyder purchaser, I could use suggestions on brands of riding boots and rain gear.

Also, suggestions on gloves would be appreciated to.

Thanks.

I have a 08 RS for boots I use wolverine hiking boots good in the cold and water resistant, and for a rain suit I bought a set at a motor cycle store just a plain jane suit no whistles or bells

rainsuit

I rode home from Kerrville, Tx, in the rain, My Frogg Toggs kept me dry, the only thing wet on me was my gloves... :D

I have a good textile jacket that is waterproof. I don't like having to stop to put on rain gear so if I think it might rain I wear a textile jacket. For boots I love my TCX they are comfortable and waterproof. If you are looking for good cold weather waterproof gloves check out Costco for their Head snowmobile gloves. I love mine!

Textile jackets are a good option that work well for raingear. I personally do not like hauling additional gear along in case of a downpour. The textiles usually have liners and vents that open for warmer weather riding.

Firstgear is one good brand to check out.

RE: Boots: I have SIVI waterproof boots that I recommend highly. They can be purchased for around $150 for some models. Other than that, I prefer harness boots. I just had my black ones resoled for about $50. Now I am looking forward to another 10 years or so.

I bought some waterproof gloves from my dealer that work well in a downpour. I prefer leather gloves--but they don't like being in the rain for long periods of time. You will get wet and cold pretty quick.

Boots: I just bought some firstgear Kili Lo WP boots. I love them. For gloves I have the can am touring gloves and have been very pleased with them.

I use vinyl glove covers that I got from my dealer.. They are fantastic in that I can put them over summer, mid weight or winter gloves and they make everything waterproof without requiring gloves for each season that are waterproof. I have Gore Tex Waterproof boots from shoebuy.com that are as comfortable as tennis shoes but allow me to walk in 8inch deep water without a drop getting through

I use a TourMaster one-piece suit, and Can Am's RT touring boots.
Warm and dry under the worst-possible conditions! :2thumbs:

Frogg Toggs

I have Frogg Toggs, a nice red rain jacket with black pants, they're breathable yet completely waterproof and they store in a small bag. I got mine at Bass Pro Shops. As for riding boots I have a pair of Thorogood lace-ups with side zippers and they are also completely waterproof.

Can Am jacket and pants work fine for me. A little pricey but I think they are good quality. Sidi waterproof boots as the Can Am boots do not like my high arches.

I actually find them to be a very comfortable boot that I can spend a day in; if I need to do a bit of walking too... :2thumbs:
