There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Riding at 68mph and above on a RT

440 miles round trip

The wife and I just got back from a "weekend away from home" ride. 220 miles on the interstate at 70-80 MPH, two-up on the RT. Rock solid handling. If you have ever traveled Interstate 64 from Virginia Beach to 295, then to 95 and then into surrounding DC traffic, you will know that people driving this route are all in a big hurry (for some reason or another). The RT handled beautifully. On the way back, we took the scenic route...Route 1 down to Route 17...OUTSTANDING HANDLING!!!:yes: This is with stock suspension. Might want to get your Spyder to the nearest authorized dealer. There might be something seriously wrong.

Just road over 90mph in crosswind with little handling concerns at all with no one in sight.
then 10 minutes on the interstate at 65 and i could not get off fast enough. It was due to nasty turbulence from the pickup, and tractor trailers.

Take the scenic route...

That is my plan on any long trips besides the scenery is better but gas stops :dontknow:. Sometimes the interstate is the only way to get from A to B.

We ride two up 99% of the time and I've never noticed anything. It's smooth as silk. I was so terrified about the semi truck buffeting because I read the forums long before we bought the. RT-S. I didn't feel anything weird. Heck, we set the cruise at 70 and it's like a Caddy for us.

Alignment, tire pressure, loosen the grip and adjusting the windshield might help. We raise our shield all the way up then drop it down an inch or so. I imagine that varies depending upon how tall you are (6'4" here). If we have it all the way up I feel myself whipped around a bit but never the Spyder.

My 2 cents

I also had a issue went to my dealer, tech suggested highest setting on front shocks, told to try it out we can always go down a notch but he felt I would keep it there, a little stiffer ride but the issues are gone, rides smooth now -- just a suggestion.:doorag:

Can Ryde all day long at interstate speed, sometimes with only one hand (guess I could do no hands, but why?).
Before installing Elka's, I had to lower front tire pressure to 16 and adjust stock fronts to highest setting to get rid of the squirrly Q's.

Sorry, just poking a little fun at my RT buddies... I'd say I'll have trouble keeping up with the new triple! :yikes:

18 front is a little high on the 2013, from what most riders say. The more pressure the more squirmy. I do think you need to have the shocks evealuated or replaced, and a BajaRon swaybar and a laser alignment would not hurt. The Spyder will not track as true as a two-wheeler because there is no gyroscopic effect, but it should handle well at speeds up to 100 if set up right. Even before the BajaRon bar I could ride one hnd on the bars past a semi at 75-80. Your Spyder needs some adjustments.
On a 2012 I tried for the front tires 17, 18, 19, 20. Still way too much body roll. Especially past trucks. Then I installed the Baja Ron sway bar. Perfect, now I run 17 in the front. Perfect. Rode to Vegas for Vegas Bikeweek this last weekend. 75 to 80 the whole way there and back. About 700 mikes total. Sometimes I had to slow down for other traffic. Perfect....Yhankyou Mr. Baja Ron. You did me good.

The 2010-2012 RT's liked a bit more front tire pressure than the 2013's. The RS seems to like even more than the 2010-2012 RT. JMHO

Really glad you like the bar. It really does make the Spyder more fun. People have tried to fix the weak sway bar with tire pressure, shocks, etc., and they all have their place. But the only real fix for a weak sway bar, is a better sway bar. :ohyea:

I hate to ask a stupid question but you all will notice it would be me that asks but do you have the alignment done with riders on the bike? just wondering if that makes a difference.
On the 2013 using BRP equipment special preloads are used to simulate the weight of a rider. Not so with ROLO equipment it works just like a auto alignment. It is the angle of the rim vs rim that matters and BRP does not take the rear rim in account ( sorta like a 2 wheel auto job). ROLO does (sorta like a 4 wheel auto job) and it eliminates crabbing . Not sure about the 2012 and earlier alignments.

I ride on the freeway with my wife on the back at up to 80mph all the time and have no problems at all. I also towed my 622 trailer from St Louis to Melbourne, FL on the freeways, most of the time between 70-75mph and never had a problem, either.

You guys ARE NOT making me feel any better :banghead:
