• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We too have the Scala G9...best value out there and Highly recommend it !!

Cannot give you any information about the brand you mentioned. It seems that Sena and Scala are pretty popular here. I am also a Sena owner and very happy with it.

The Prez and Sweeper of PSA has a set of the UCLEAR and swears by them. I'm hoping to have a set before our riding season starts again.

I hate to hijack the thread.. But I have the Scala g9 also.. Was wondering if I install the Bluetooth dongle.. Could I pair with the g9

I have the Uclear Hbc 100 and I love them. The only thing... I had a problem with the first two units that I purchased. I contacted Uclear directly and I sent them the two units and Uclear sent me two new units and I haven't had a problem with these two. I did have to get used to the buttons on them. I think the Hbc 200 might have changed the buttons a little so that they are easier to use. But I have no complaints and they have a boomless mic as well which work really well.

I had the U-Clear HBC-100. I saw the new ear buds they are marketing, but the ad said they were not compatible with the HBC-100, that I'd need the HBC-100+. I wrote to U-Clear about it, and they told me to send back my HBC-100 and they'd replace it with an HBC-100+ at no cost . . . great customer service.

I'm using the Uclear 200 and I'm finding no problems. The outside unit on the helmet is easy to use with gloves on and I can hear the music great. The only problem is that I actually have to turn the helmet headset on first then turn the Sena Bluetooth dongle on to have them pair up, they won't pair up any other way. Which means they won't automatically pair up if I go into pay for the gas or get far enough away that the connection drops.

I have not had a chance to use the phone yet but the way the phone is hooked to the GPS and I hear everything from the GPS and radio through the Bluetooth. I'm going to try and connect my Uclear unit to the phone separately from the Sena Bluetooth so I can use the phone separately.

I have the Scala G9s and love them. But I am unhappy with them as well. I have not been able to get them to pair/work reliably with the Sena dual streaming dongle. Sometimes they won't connect, other time they drop connection with the Sena, or only one set will pair with the Sena.

I may be putting them up for sale and switching to Sena so I can dual stream music from the Spyder audio system.

rider to rider comunacation

Thanks for all the input , Cycle Gear has the HBC 100 on sale and it looks like we will go that route , as I'm tired of getting smacked in the back of the head .

Sena SMH10

I haven't used a UClear, however I have used and owned a few others through the years and I can say that the Sena SMH10 has an option that no one else I know of has:

Sena SMH-A0304 Helmet Clamp Kit for Earbuds with Attachable Boom Microphone and Wired Microphone

This is something that should have been done years ago. I have one pair of SMH10 units, and one of the adapters listed above on the five different helmets that I own. I use the Koss "The Plug" In-Ear headphones which has an incredible Bass response of 10-20,000Hz. This is simply the best sound you can get on your motorcycle. It think I bought the Koss headphones at OfficeMax or Staples for less than $12. The Koss headphones have memory foam cushions, so they do a better job of sealing out noise, which also results in not having to crank the volume up so much. Until I used this setup, I've never had bass response on a motorcycle headset that I was happy with.

In-Ear headphones are a bit of a pain to deal with, but before that, I was turning up the volume almost to maximum so I could hear clearly over the road noise, and I know I've damaged my hearing through the years from doing that, so in-ear is the best way to go for your hearing. To aid in getting the helmet on and off, use a helmet liner, or some type of thin cap to put on your head before you put your helmet on.

I hope this helps the poster, and anyone else who is looking for the best sound solution (without breaking the bank).
