• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please advise me to sick product gives best audio quality. Only interested in to talking to my passenger. I have researched but boggles up with mesh and etc. I have a 2015 Rt

If all you want to do is talk with your passenger. Any wireless helmet intercom headset will work. Your choices are huge. If you have friends that you ride with. Get what they have. That way if you ever want to pair with theirs you can. Also if you have any trouble setting them up. They can help. Very popular with folks on this site are Sena branded models. So there is some assistance with how to use and setup here. If you are just looking at price. Go with a set of the Chinese BT only ones.

:agree: I think the top two are the Sena and the Cardo scala brands. You can check scala as they have several simple models otherwise the big sellers have connection to your phone, gps, radio and can work with other ryders in you group. These we know are quality units but then there are a myrad of others...

i don't mind top of the line. just want clarity. tried uclear and they sincerely suck. is it impossible to carry a conversation with your passenger without yelling or adjusting speakers?

We have our Sena's so long I can't remenber buying them and they have always given us good service. I think most BT comms are sensitive to ear speaker placement.

Another card on the pile for Sena. We have the SMH10's. Going on our fourth year or so. Also have one set of Nolan N-com.....they are made to fit our Nolan helmets. Not as good as the Sena...but for intercom....would be just fine.

Have also used Cardo and Chatterbox. Both at the bottom of our list in the order listed. PS....the Chatterbox were originally purchased for intercom only....we used them once and returned them. Did not like the helmet to helmet wiring.

If you only want to communicate with your passenger then what billybovine suugests is all you need... any of the cheap Bluetooth headsets will work fine.

If you want to go with a name brand the SENA SMH5 would be perfect.

Following.. I am also interested in communication with my rider + the ability to use the phone especially in an emergency. I am also considering purchasing a seperate GPS (Garmin Zumo 595 LM) and I would like to link that to the ears too, if possible.

We use Sena 3 which are priced right about 80 to 100 . easy to use and there are different models for all styles of helmet. They last all day and will take phone calls and passenger rider 2way.

I second what Lew L said about speaker placement. It took a good bit of micro-fiddling to get my SMH10 speakers exactly where I wanted them for best hearing in my Neotec.

I have a set of Cardo Freecom 2 DUO's for sale on the For sale pages. Ill let you have for $150 with free shipping to lower 48. these sell new for $290.

Just installed my Sena 20S EVO yesterday and used it today...Phone/Google maps audio...Pandora music...and a phone call to the misses to say I'd be home eventually! Woo friggin hoo!
Maybe tomorrow we try the intercom (rider to passenger).

PS Also, thumbs-up to my new Lamonster Ram mount and X-grip!

Looks like a lot of folks are piling on the couple of name brands, I purchased set of BT S2 and they work just fine, can communicate without screaming or yelling upto 65 after that you get better results with a full face or modular helmet.
