• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ride Spyder with a car driver's license - list

Can we get a list going of states where you can legally operate a Spyder with just a car driver's license?

the only one I know is

California

Unless it has changed that should be it. I heard that all 50 states consider it a motorcycle but that three did not require a M license and that California was one. I also heard that there were three states that had helmet laws that did not require a helmet on the Spyder. I don't know what three these are.:doorag:

Seems like there was a recent post that either ND or SD had changed their law this year. This is the first I've heard of South Carolina or Alabama.

Helmet Laws???

We don't need no stinkin' Helmet Laws ! :gaah:

You can't ride it in Oregon - even licensed in another state without an endorsement - if caught, they would impound the bike...

This is a carryover from the ATV's - Oregon now requires a "Safety License" to ride an ATV anywhere in Oregon, even your own land, and regardless of where you actually live, or the requirements of that state.... it's worse than that, but that summarizes it pretty well...
