• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RSS SE5, 28000 miles,

Rode from Mountville to Stafford, VA Thursday afternoon. Don't do it! What with road construction and traffic, it was a horrible ride. took about 4 hours and just beat the storm by a few minutes.

Left Stafford and continued to Apex, NC Friday am. Little to no traffic after Richmond. Rain and drizzle to nearly Durham. Not an overly fun ride. (learned thatit's time to retire my 10+ year old riding suit)

Some observations:
My new helmet is noisier than my old helmet.
My old riding suit doesn't repel water the way it used to. Even after cleaning it and retreating.
Yosh exhaust is louder than stock, even with my modified baffle system. Not objectionabel, just louder.
Frunk does not leak.
Stock seat, pegs, bars, fit me for a couple of hours at a time. gas to gas and farther. (old mostly worn out hip joint? maybe not as much)
Minor bellt vibration mid-seventies mph.
Absolutely smooth at indicated 80mph (78mph on GPS)
Superslab riding is still boring!

After coming over to the dark side after 50 years of riding single track vehicles, I think I'll keep it.

Soooo....
