• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ride for Kids

Just finished a great event here in Northern California. 2015 Ride for Kids benefiting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. We had close to 30 Spyders on the ride, and our Northern California Chapter of SRA was the third highest rated team for raising money. We brought in almost $4500.00 in donations to support finding a cure for Pediatric Brain Tumors, and assisting families of children that have been diagnosed with brain tumors. We got to meet a lot of these families, we had a great lunch, and one of our members won a Honda Rebel! The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation sponsors 37 ride events around the country so there is probably one close to you. This foundation contributes close to 85% of its donations directly to the cause and they are the number 1 non-governmental agency contributing to finding a cure for this deadly disease.

I almost forgot. We got to go on a beautiful 70 mile ride through the foothills escorted by, and intersections closed by, The California Highway Patrol.....and that is very cool.

So the purpose of this post is to challenge SRA National, and any other SRA local chapters, or independent riding groups to support Ride for Kids. National, with your help the other Chapters will join in. The local chapters this is fun, it is heart warming, and we are really making a difference. So I challenge you to get involved with this event and raise more money than we did this year, and that we will next year. Just go to rideforkids.org and register your team, you will feel good about it, and you will be helping kids in your community!

Peace

thats awesome. i went on a charity ride on Saturday as well, i would have been the only spyder if i had brought it and wasnt having issues. I took my yamaha instead and there was over probably 100 bikes cruising the canyons and pacific coast highway in Malibu to benefit burn survivors and the Grossman burn center. Would love to see one down here with more spyders (and less Harleys lol)
