• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Google shows them as having a retail/in person shopping. I was just down the street so I dropped by. Just a wall of customer service people manning phones. I politely asked if they had a showroom or if I could order something. Was rudely shown the door and was told they don't do retail sales there. Not great customer service.
 
While I've never done any business with Slingmods I learned from Tricled several years ago that Slingmods is their largest reseller. If you look at the Slingmods web site you see in the "About Us" tab they are exclusively an online retailer. While Google may be good, the company isn't infallible. Just offering a bit of balance.

I get that. A simple explanation of sorry, we don't do retail sales directly from this location would have been a more appropriate response rather than who are you and what do you want followed by a look of the exit door is that way.
 
Sorry about your in-person experience. I will say just recently I made an online order and mistakenly ordered the wrong part. I called them as I wanted the accessories before an upcoming ride. Chris took really good care of me. Gave me a return label and shipped the right part that day. He did say they were a small maybe 5 person shop and are quite busy getting orders out.
