• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Review of the Passenger Back Rest and Luggage Rack currently being sold on Amazon.com...

Rear Passenger Backrest with Luggage Rack for Can-am Spyder F3 F3-S F3-T 2015-2025, Rear Carrier Luggage Rack and Rear Back Rest Passenger Sissy Bar for Spyder F3 Accessories

I installed one of these racks today on a 2019 F3-S. It is listed as fitting F3, F3-S, and F3-T from 2015-2025 models. It is a simple design without any adjustments or frivilous parts. It was delivered to my shop about 7 days after ordering on line. Fast service and during the nation wide snow and bad road conditions too. It comes unassembled in a box, but so simple to put it together you won't need to read a manual. There is a little video on the Amazon website showing how it is assembled. Only 7 bolts in the whole kit. The metric allen wrenches to fit the Allen, button head bolts came with the bolt package. It is a very substantually built accessory.

Easy as pie to put on the F3-S. Just remove the passenger grab rails that run along side the passenger seat pad. Two metric allen heads per side. The side plates of the rack and back rest fit right on the same mounts as the grab rails. Put the side rails on and re-install the same hardware that was holding the grab rails before. The side rails for the luggage rack and passenger back rest are now mounted under the side rails. They fit well and no alignment is needed. I would recommend you leave the mounting bolts fairly loose at this stage and it will make the rest of the assembly easier. Next there are two bolts on each side to hold the luggage rack to the side plates. Just slide the bolts in, no nuts yet. Find the main brace for the passenger backrest and put the same bolts through it too. Bolts through from the outside and nuts on the inside under the rack will be less noticeable and leave fewer protrusions to catch on. These four bolts come with flat washers and Nylock nuts. That is basically all there is to the assembly. Tighten all the fasteners now, starting with passenger grab rail mounting bolts and then the 4 rack and backrest assembly bolts. On the one I installed, everything lined up nicely. Good tight fit on bolt holes and the finish on the metal parts was shiny black. All the supports, the rack bed, and the side plates were made of heavy steel. It is not a flimsy assembly. The rack is rated for 80 pounds. All that is left to do is to use the last 3 bolts to attach the passenger back rest pad to the back rest support assembly. Nothing to putting it on. Takes maybe 30 to 45 minutes.

I also went behind the Spyder to see if the rack blocked the view of the tail lights. From 8 to 10 feet behind the Spyder the lights are clearly visible at about the same level as any other bike. If it was from the cab of a Kenworth, you would need to be further back to see the rear lights, but you don't want a Kenworth following at 10 feet anyway. I don't see any problems with the quality of the rack and back rest or the fitment. This is not bling. The back rest will give the passenger added security and comfort. It is high enough to catch the small of the back and prevent a passenger from being flipped off the rear in an unexpected start. The rack will fit most of the soft bags made to strap on the seats, or rolled covers, blankets, whatever you got. It very functional, and still looks nice. There are no adjustments on the back rest. It bolts on solid. The back rest pad has a zip on cover. I would say it was well worth the cost, and takes very little time to install.
