• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reverse to Neutral

For the life of me, I can't get my F3 SE6 to go from reverse to neutral. The manual says press the shifter (+) briefly to go from reverse to neutral and longer to go from reverse to 1st gear. No matter how quickly I press the shifter, it goes from reverse (then I quickly see the "N" on the gear indicator) then to 1st. I can't get it to go to neutral. Am I doing something wrong? How is everyone else going from reverse to neutral?

Thanks!

I have a 2014 RT with the SE6.....and have had her a year, and have always had to go from reverse to 1st then to neutral....just takes an extra second...got used to it.......love my :spyder2:

Yes, I agree it's not a big deal but was just curious why it was stated in the manual but couldn't be done. I've already gotten used to it and love my :spyder2: too!

Thanks!

I also found that my F3 jumped to 1st from reverse, then back to neutral. It's an extra step, but it's nice to be able shift from reverse to 1st when you're backing up from a parking stall.

I've been riding my '14 SE6 Spyder only four months and have had that situation trying to go from R to N and blame it on my fat thumb and glove because I'm only sometimes successful. More often than not I just tap to 1 and then hit the downshift lever without touching the R button and it pops right into N.

Not easy..!!

I have a manual transmission and find it hard to do. I can but it ends up being easier to just go to first and then neutral...practice and patience :dontknow:

me too

My 2012 went from Reverse to Neutral, but the F3 goes from Reverse to 1st, and then I put it into Neutral. I leave it that way when parked in the garage. I've gotten used to it already.

It is the same with my 2014 RT-L; Reverse to 1st Gear automatically followed by a manual downshift to Neutral (when needed). I just figured it was a change that wasn't corrected when the 1330 owners manual was written.
