• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reverse Problem

I have an RT-S SE5 with 4000 miles. I had the clutch recall done about 700 miles ago and have not had problems until yesterday. Was in a parking space and tried to shift from neutral to reverse. Would not happen. Put in 1st gear , back to neutral, back to reverse, still no go. Finally pushed bike back onto street, shifted into 1st, and took off. Everything felt fine, and next stop, reverse was OK. Tried reverse several more times without problem.

Has anyone had this happen, and since it was an isolated event, should I just ignore it?

Next time you are near a dealer, just pull in and let them know about it. Doesn't hurt letting them know that there was an issue, even though it may not come back again. Well informed dealers lead to well satisfied customers.

I would ignore it. May have just been a hic-up. I would ride it until it stops altogether.
:agree:and I agree with Dave1. Next time you are in for oil change, or whatever make sure to have them make a note of it or any hic-up so as to log it and if something were to come up later you can show you have recorded it. Just my $.02 :ani29:

Mine has been geting a bit reluctant to shift back into neutral from first gear... I know that it's not a biggie, but next week when the DPS gets yanked they're gonna hear about it for sure! nojoke

Mine has been getting progressively worse going into error more and more from reverse to neutral. I suspect the GPS module is bad as I've checked the linkage and that seems ok.
