• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Retirement is just around the corner

Hi all;

My wife and I are looking at the Cherry Hill, New Jersey area for our next move. We have the information available through web searches, but I was hoping that some of our Spyderrider friends would have some more information about the area. We are both Golden State kids and really don't know what to be aware of in a move to the 4 season East Coast. We would like to experience our countrys history where it all began.

Please feel free to express your opinions, pro or con. We know that every place in this world has an upside and a downside, those that live there are the best source of information.

To all who respond, thank you very much. If all goes well we'll break bread and kill the fatted calf.

Congratulations on your pending retirement. :thumbup: I think you are wise to get the heck out of here. It's a huge move though so take your time. Good luck on your search!

Re: Move to Cherry Hill NJ

Hello! I am a Spyder rider from the Jersey Shore in the summer & fall and Southwest Fla. in the winter. My husband is a Harley Rider although loves riding the Spyder too! Maybe I will convert him?! lol
We live about 45 minutes from Cherry Hill. We have been through there many times although haven't spent much time there ourselves. Some of Cherry Hill is very pretty. Of course there is a lot of history in this area. Lots of parks and recreational facilities. Shopping is pretty good too. You are close to Philadelphia and not far from New York and the Jersey Shore. You have Atlantic City not far away and the BEAUTIFUL Cape May within reach. (Cape May is my FAVORITE) A must to see! There always seems to be a lot to do in the Cherry Hill area. The people I know that live there seem to like it a lot. If you have any particular hobbies and use Meetup groups, the Cherry Hill area seems to be full of them. I myself am a photographer and there is a great group of photographers in the area that get together often.
As far as the weather: The snow in the winter does look beautiful but I am not a fan of the cold. For the most part it is not bitterly cold as it can get in other parts of the country but lately I hate anything below 70! lol My husband and I have lived most of our lives in Jersey and now look forward to spending the winters in Southwest Florida where we leave those cold gray winters behind. Taxes . . . . yes, they can be a bit high but I'll bet not as high as a lot of areas in California. Our gas prices are the cheapest I can find anywhere and we don't even pump our own gas! :roflblack:
Of course as far as Spyder riders go, I am a brand new owner myself and have found two other riders very close to me and we are planning some rides this summer. I am now just beginning to look into finding other Jersey riders.
If there is anything at all that I can help you with, please do not hesitate to let me know. I will be back in Jersey in about 3 weeks and could get you information if you need it.
Good luck on your decision! Let us know if you come out our way!
