Reseting Codes

2011 RT Limited:

I have a fault P0170 that I only get when I abruptly break hard. Happened last two years and have had to bring the Spyder to the shop for reset and they find "NOTHING" wrong with it. Well it happened again. The RT runs perfect still and to avoid another senseless bill with Labor attached, I was thinking of just un hooking the Battery as a reset. Would this work?

P0170 is not brake related. Its an air fuel ratio problem. IE O2 sensor. Long term fuel trim out of range. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust and cat bypass? This code was triggered on early RS / GS models with insufficient exhaust allowing oxygen back into the exhaust and causing incorrect O2 sensor readings.

Curious...

Do you remove the key when you put her up..? most times if the computer reset is done with the key out it will store the codes and clear them from the instrument panel. Some need bud but I have seen some steps posted to clear codes but you would have to search them out....:thumbup:
