• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reset Radio Presets

I can't remember how to do it but I do remember it was a PITA. Use the owner's manual and you should be able to figure it out. Good luck and try not to get too frustrated. :gaah:

Can anyone help me with the procedure to reset the presets on the radio, thanks so much...

I just did a preset change on my XM radio today, I think it is the same. When you are on the station you want to change you hold down/press the mode button for like 3-5 seconds and then you can change to the station you want........ok I am gonna run down and try that and see if it works....... be right back
:D

Ok I was close, but you need to get it on the FM or AM dial that you want to change once there you hold down the SET button for a couple seconds, then you scroll left or right to the desired station, and when you find the one you want you scroll the arrow down for record.! that's it, then keep repeating till you get them set.

hope that helps.:welcome::welcome:

Does this work the same for XM radio channels? My XM does not want to stop on .... say #10....it will stop on #9 and then skip to #11. When I push SET it jumps to the next setting....what a Pain. Anyway, I will follow your instructions as see how it goes....what I am doing sure does not work... Thanks.

George, could it be that there is no station on 10? I do know for a fact that not all numbers have a station on them. Give 13 a try.
Willy's Place. :2thumbs:

OK let me see if I can do this.Do you have the (QUICK REFERENCE BOOKLET) if you do just follow the
directions on the back page-top left. Vehicle needs to be stopped to storing a radio preset.

All of your button pushing is gonna be from the (RECC)

You just have to pay attention to the Main Screen when you are navigating which stations you want to record,
Meaning assigning a preset station to.

Ok, now BIG RED 1 Yes it is the similar to the AM / FM radio stations, except since you have so many XM stations they
let you navigate by Groups, ie; COUNTRY, NEWS, ENTERTAINMENT,TALK ETC.. So if you press the mode to get you on the
XM radio Screen, and then press the mode button again it will let you navigate two screens,
(CATEGORIES) 1ST column & (CHANNELS) 2nd column where you pick the group ie; Country,
and then you scroll to the right and you can navigate through all the various country stations, there are (7) country
stations to choose from. You have the possibility of loading 15 presets including #1 which tells you what stations are
available. But you can also search XM Sirius from your computer and decide their too. You can also bypass the group
choices and go station by station, but that can be more cumbersome since there are several hundred to choose from,
I have my choice list sort of mixed around ( meaning not in numerical order) and know when I am riding if I am listening
to CNBC and they go to commercial I just scroll to the left by pressing the direction key twice to my favorite music
station. And then after that song I scroll back to whatever I was listening to.

Hope this helps, Once you get it , it is quite simple. But each time I have to relearn it :D Also if anyone sees something
I left out please correct me.

Mr. Bait...ahhhh Catagories...that is the answer...I have XM in my truck and knew there was a #10 and #13...C&W (10 is from Willy Nelson's place up by Hillsboro, TX) I will re-read the booklet, but I sure missed the catagory thingie....again you guys have come to the aide of an old guy....thanks.

I am beginning to love BR1...it will take me a while, but love comes slowly some times.
