• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

"reserve" capacity

Specs say 6.6 gallons, but my light comes on about 110 miles. Seems too early. One day I plan on taking some fuel with me and draining the tank. But, for now, what say you?

Ball park over all my :ani29::ani29::spyder2::spyder2::spyder2::

998's--Start looking for gas at 150. Most put in was 5.8 gallons at 180 miles.

1330's--Start looking for gas around 200. Most miles driven on one tank--215. Don't remember the gallons.

Your range has a lot to do with the dance that your right wrist does with the loud grip... nojoke
Once you've found the effective range of your bike; just use the trip odometers to keep an eye on things...

RESERVE - CAPACITY

NONE !!!....., in the old days gas tanks on bikes had a fuel shut-off that also included a so-called reserve if you turned the petcock as bit further.......I miss that feature, because there was no guessing when you needed it :yikes: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:.............Mike

mileage

I just bought a new rs, rode it 130 miles home from the dealer, and around town, I was down to one block, I had 175 miles on it and put 4.75 gallons in, that left me 1.5 gals or 33.8 mpg.
