• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Requests for all the praying SpyderLovers

Well dltang has been gone just over a week now and I've been officially missing her for the last few days. She had plans on updating a travel blog while she was there and trying to contact me on Skype but it turns out that where they are staying is less developed than originally thought. There is no internet access for them and the entire community is on energy restrictions. They can only use electricity every other day or something like that. I only found this out because she was able to forward a message to me through the missionary family that they are working with last Saturday and then on Sunday she was able to send me a short email. Only four more days till I get to drive to Chicago to pick up her and the rest of the mission team. I'll just keep believing God for their success in the mission field and their safety.

Amen! I was trying to do the math to remember when she was due back. So, we'll pray another couple of days (for His Kingdom and her safe return). Godspeed and keep her! Let us know when she's back!

Almost home

Well, I am at the airport in London with a layover for a few hours so I thought I would check in. Thank you so much for all the prayers. What great people we have here. The experience was awesome and life changing. God works in so many ways. I will try to get some photos uploaded while I am sitting here in the airport. Thank you again everyone and especially to my husband whom I love so much.

Great to see you're on your way back Deb! Excellent pics. As I think I told you, my oldest son spent two years in Africa (Ghana and Malawi) with Engineers Without Borders. I am always amazed at the spirit of the African people, who have so little by way of material possessions, but are still happy to share with visitors what they do have.
Blessings,
Bruce

This is the first time I've been to this board in a while and I wondered where you were. :opps: Looks like a life changing trip. God bless you Deb.

Deb, great pictures. Thanks for taking His message of love to these wonderful people. I know they were all truly blessed, but you will never be the same either! God bless you.

I do not come to the Off Topic board, just never thought about it. But when Lamont told me about your trip to Africa, Deb, I wanted to see.

Looks like the Lord did a great work through you while you were there.

This is a really good thing you did Deb.

Praise the Lord!

Thanks Ron for the visit to this board. Mission trips have become very dear to my heart. I think this one has really affected me in many personal ways. I know God is working in so many lives and so many hearts. We just have to learn not to judge happiness based on our American Value System. I saw more joy in those children that "need" than I see in the children here in the states. Oh don't get me started...LOL Thank you again.
