• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reputable Dealers in Illinois and Missouri

We have just returned from a very unhappy experience with a salesperson that made all kinds of promises back in September when we placed an order for a Premier Edition RT with trailer. We arrived at the Dealer location to finalize our agreement and found his memory had failed him since our previous conversations. We were not included in his discussions with the owner when they tried to negotiate some settlement and were unable to arrive at any agreement regarding purchase. I'm sure blame can be placed on both sides and we learned alot from this encounter and will get everything in writing from the next dealer. Now we are looking for help from previous Spyder Owners who live in the Central to Southern Illinois and Missouri area. We are approximately one hour north of St. Louis and looking for a Dealership we can trust. Would sure like some feedback from those of you that sound satisfied with your purchases and service.

I have never had any dealings with the dealer in Decatur, but according to a friend of mine he has proven to him to be a good one. I can't remember the name of the dealer right now.

Sorry to hear the trouble you are having.

Here is the Dealership many of us do business with;

CowTown USA, Cuba, MO

573-885-6300

Cuba is about 83.1 miles SW of St. Louis. exit 203 right off of I-44

Ask for Rick (owner) or Ricky (owner's son), they will get you squared away, Good-Luck :2thumbs:

Appreciate your feedback. I think I found the name of the Dealership online and would like to know if your friend could provide us an owner or salesperson's name for contact at the dealership he mentioned.

So far I have had good dealings with St.Louis Motorsports in Fenton Mo.
20 miles South of Downtown St.Louis across I-44 from the ex Chrysler
Plant

My friend just called back and told me that it is World of Powersports, Decatur. Rick Cox is the sales manager. Hope it helps. Good luck!

Appreciate your feedback. We do have a call in to Paul to track our chances of snagging a Premier Edition..
Have you had any service work performed at the Dealership? :f_spider:

i've been to the Decatur shop. Seemed like a good place, very busy the times I was there. Although I did end up buying my spyder out of state, I haven't heard anything negative about them & intend to use them for all service. One of my brothers is checking into a dealer in Nashville, IL as well. No word from him yet on what he thinks.

I was at the Decatur shop on Friday, they have a new PE on the floor and 3 trailers either otw or waiting to be put together.

I was actually impressed with the dealership. I told them up front that my wife and I were simply looking today, no intent to buy. The salesman, Russ I believe was his name, went and got the info flyers for us, and told us to come back when it warms up for a demo ride. Nice change of pace from most big 4 dealers around here who are all over you and almost laugh if you ask for a test ride.

Good Morning SpyderLovers. :f_spider:

I just wanted to take some time to again thank all of you who are helping us with turning a negative buying situation into a POSITIVE one. We are already beginning to believe there are more good dealers out there then bad ones. We have been able to make contact with the three you suggested and they are all making an effort to find us our Premier Edition RT with a trailer. Will let all of you know when we can sign the papers.
THIS WEBSITE HAS BEEN A GODSEND!!!!!

:2excited:

I'm sure that everyone was more than happy to help you find a good dealer. The only problem I see you having now is Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. Good Luck!

Hey BigLou......I work in Springfield, soon as the weather warms up keep an eye out for my silver spyder & say hello. I'm hoping for good weather & a far more fun ride to/from work soon.
