There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Report A New 2021 Spyder RT Here

Well, I guess that means there will be no big reveal in September, and possibly no major discounts on the 2020 either. Normally there is anywhere from a $4,000-$5,500 discount on models starting in late September and running until that model year is gone. Guess I will have to wait and see. I know it was a pipe dream, but I was really hoping for around 1600cc or something for the 2021 model.

Back to the subject of the OP. "Report the purchase of a new 2021 RT Here."

So far: ONE and counting. :firstplace:

Will be traveling to Iowa.. yes Iowa on Thursday to pick up a deep Marsala chrome edition RT Limited... not sure why I am trading my 2018 in.. guess I like the looks of the new.

Rick.

I find it difficult to understand that the color of the Spyder would affect the speed????????????
BIG F

Well, I have not had a post to the 2020 thread in a couple weeks now.

We left off at 77 and counting, new 2020's reported.

If you have purchased a new 2021 Spyder, please post here. A picture or two will be appreciated.

Just to be more accurate the 2020 I never got that I thought I had a firm order on.:banghead: So if you remove mine will bring your count to 76.

I do have a piece of paper now saying I have a 2021 on order.

The dealership is holding onto all my accessories to put on the 2021. At least the trailer hitch will be on from the get go!

Spyder production stopped in April and sled production started and then ended in the fall. After the 2017 Homecoming they were making changes to the production line but I don't remember what the new system was going to be. I think it was going to allow Spyder production year round, or it was going to allow some of the production line to be used for both. I wish I could remember. Maybe I can find a post from back then when memory was fresher.
Interesting observation, but I will respectfully disagree.

In the process of adding the Tri-Axis handlebars and the J&M CB radio, I had a LOT of Tupperware off our bike. Most of the date codes I saw on the various components and body pieces had a May 2016 stamp. The final assembly on the VIN tag also showed May 2016. This was not "the end of the model year run", it is on a 2017 RT-S, the VIN ends in 000055, so it was one of the FIRST FEW 2017s that was assembled. :dontknow:

We actually would have to visit the factory to see how the production schedule goes. I found the comment I made after homecoming. They were revamping the assembly line to make both Ski Doos and Spyders on one line so I wonder if some 2021s are being assembled along with Ski Doos this summer. I think your 2017 might be one of the machines that was on the idle Spyder assembly line during Homecoming in June 2017. They had stopped regular production in April or May 2017 but left some machines in various states of assembly to show visitors the assembly process. The factory crew was actively assembling Ski Doos on the SD assembly line. We were told they would finish the Spyders after Homecoming was over with so maybe they were designated 2017s and we visitors just were not told. I don't know that any of us looked at the VIN tags on the machines.

Or, maybe they've always made a few of the next model year in the spring for demo and testing. But they definitely, up through 2017, stopped Spyder production in the summer to move the crew to assembling Ski Doos on the SD line.
