Which Elka Shocks are owners of 2015 RT-S SE6 replacing the OEM shocks? Any body using different brand of shock then ELKA? I have the Elka Stage 5 on my RT-S SE5 and really like them. Thanks in advance.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is what is going onto mine. I was going to put on Elka's, but since they did not respond to my email I looked at the Fox shock. In checking around I found that the Fox doesn't have the leaking issues that members are reporting having with the Elka.
If my stock shocks had low mileage I would have tried Ron's adjusters.

For those of us who have the adjustable shocks (2012) what shock are seems to work best?Are there other choices besides Fox and Elka?

I agree, I have them with the BajaRon sway bar and I don't see any need to upgrade any further.

I got ours off Ebay, however I thought they were $366 shipped. Maybe they are now all sold, but they were NIB, and arrived 2 days after the order was placed.

I believe they are the same length, but the springs on the 2014/15 shocks are slightly wider than the 2013 model. I don't know if there is any actual difference in the shocks themselves between "improved" 2013 shocks and later ones.
The original batch of 2013 shocks were defective and BRP corrected that half way through the model year. Same size, though. Also they kept the same part number for some reason. Part number on the 2014 and later shocks are different.

NEW Product! 2013-2016 ST & RT Front Shock Spring Adjusters (Only for those Spyders WITHOUT Factory Front Shock Pre-load Adjusters)
* Does your 2013 thru 2016 RT tend to bottom out, scraping the front on steep driveway approaches and speed bumps?
* Do you get a lot of front end dive on hard braking or turning?
* Does your Spyder sit too low in the front when heavily loaded?
The 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 RT's come with no way to adjust the Front Shock Spring Pre-Load as they had in previous model years. That means you get the same amount of spring lift for 1 small rider with no luggage as you do for 2 heavy riders, all the luggage you can carry, and possibly pulling a trailer. Frankly, this 'One Setting Fits All Conditions' can be a bit frustrating as you have no ability to bring the front of your Spyder back up to the correct ride height when loaded.
My Coil Spring Adjusters allow you to quickly and easily adjust the amount of pre-load (stiffness) and ride height of your Spyder. This not only helps to control lean and dive but brings your Spyder back to the proper ride height giving you more ground clearance which avoids hitting the front of your Spyder on speed bumps, driveway approaches, etc.
Maintaining proper ride height also helps to maintain proper front end alignment. When the front of your Spyder sags with added weight it changes the front end alignment causing harder and less precise steering, lower fuel mileage and accelerated tire wear. This same condition can be created in the reverse. If you stiffen your front springs with non-adjustable spacers you will not be able to reduce the spring tension when unloaded. This will raise the front of your Spyder above the normal ride height, give you an unnecessary harsher ride and may create an 'Out of Alignment' condition.
But now there is a great solution. These Billet Aluminum kits adjust easily, are simple to operate, and look great! And while these adjusters will increase spring tension, you will not experience a harsh ride because you can adjust the spring stiffness to your preference.
The kit comes with everything you need and can include the option of a Spring Compressor tool set if you plan to install them yourself.
Adjusters come in Red or Silver (though in the picture the Silver looks white)

Coil Spring Compressors - $40.00 Refundable Deposit - If you are going to install these yourself you will need a set of Spring Compressors. Universal Spring Compressors are pretty readily available and can sometimes be rented/borrowed from your local auto parts store. However, these universal compressors are usually too large for the smaller springs on the Spyder. And the typical Motorcycle versions may be too weak to do a good job.
So I have made up Custom Spring Compressor sets. These will be offered on a Deposit Basis ($40.00). This deposit will be fully refunded upon return of the compressor tool set in serviceable condition. Or, you can keep them if you like.
Though it does make the install easier if you remove the front trunk, these adjusters can be installed without removing anything other than the shocks themselves. The supplied instructions are for doing this install without removing the front trunk.

The 2012 shocks are different. The 2013's got a redesigned chasis and shocks. The 2014-16 front shocks are of higher quality than the 2013's. You can actually upgrade your 2013 with 2014/16 front shocks.
