The volt meter is easy stuff, black wire and red wire from gauge cluster, as far as the other one I have an oil gauge, but it is only a filler for the space and not hooked up
What size are the guages?
Since my guages don't work, I want to replace those useless guages with something else. I bought a volt meter for one, any suggestions for the temp guage replacement. Or even the volt meter.
HELP !!!
I used digital gauges on my 2010 RT but found them too brite and distracting at night so this time I used analog VDO gauges, Voltmeter and Air Temp, and like them much better.

I installed a Whistler radar detector, it fits in the orgional hole. It is specifically made for motorcycles but looks like a gauge. It has a bright blue led that flashes when any of the different radar signals are detected. It also comes with a heads up display you mount on the helmut and right now they are throughing these in with the order. I think I paid about $159, but it may have been a bit less. It has a black bezel so it is perfect and, every one will do a double take when they ask what is that for? lol....
I experimented with several locations and got nearly as bad results as the oem gauge but finally mounted it underneath on the rh side just forward of the radiator and exposed to the air flow under the RT. It is very accurate there and only gets crazy when sitting still with the motor running.Where is the sensor for your air temp gauge? Does it seem to be pretty accurate?
I don't recall seeing this question addressed.
I am happy with the temperature gauge and how it functions. Will any problems happen if I just replace the gas guage with something else and leave the temperature guage hooked up??????
