• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

question for RS owners. I have noticed that with the stock windscreen that the road blast is hitting me mid chest. My question is if you've replaced your stock windscreen with aftermarket how big did you go and where does the wind flow hit you. I'm 5' 11" Thank you in advance for your input:clap::clap::clap:

I got the BRP ultra touring 23"free when I bought my RS and added Madsted breakets to let me adjust it for best air flow,it's great!

when I had my RS I went thru numerous ones & ended up with a Madstad light tinted one that was great. fully adjustable. 22 high. hope this helps.

Here's what I did..!!

don't remember the exact measurement (16/17") the flip redirects the wind nicely for the freeways. Got it from Twisted Throttle...

I beliece that Madstad makes one specifically for your bike. It adjusts both in height and and angle of attack. See their web-site for pics.

5'10" but sit high in the saddle on an Ultimate Mid-Rider seat. I first ran a 22" dark smoke Madstad, but eventually moved to a 24" Madstad, extended fully. My eyes see just over the shield, no interference. Very little wind at all, happy as a rider can be!

Back in 2010, we did a Cal Sci, 23". Worked great. I really like the madstad, too. I have one on my other bike.

The windscreen was one of the first things to be replaced on both my 2008 and 2009. Early on, it was slim pickings. Dealer found some that fit and we drilled the holes to mount them on the GS/RS.

Cost about $325 in those days. Lots of options these days, but a bigger than stock one was the way to go. I put touring models on similar to the ones I had on my Cruisers.

I ended up using Corbin fairings in the end. They looked kind of "spacey," but added to the custom looks of our :spyder2:s'.

Replacement windscreen RS

Thanks to all for you input; looks as if Madstad is the group favorite. Will have to save my pennies but this will need to be replaced before trip to Spyderquest in Sept.:yes::ohyea::2thumbs::bbq::bbq::bbq:
