• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replacement headlight bulbs for f3

Talked to my dealer and he said the bulbs were H4. So I contacted a site vendor and bought these to have installed. I will either have the dealer install them, or I might see if Reggie at TricLED can put them in when he does the rest of my lights. I hope these will work. I went with LED versus HID because I think they should last longer/be a white light versus the stock ones/and was told they would be 2.5x brighter than stock.

Am I right?:dontknow:

Keep us informed, looking forward to upgrading my headlight bulbs as well! And many pictures :)

Took a lightbulb to Autozone and said I wanted the brightest bulbs he had. Sold me the Sylvania ZXE. Extremely happy!

Can you state or show a photo of what LED bulb you're talking about?

Thanks!

This is the bulb I took out. HB2.

Thanks! Apparently the H4/HB2/9300 are all the "same" bulb so one can keep this in mind when looking for bulbs. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

I'd still like to see the LED bulb that the OP said he was going to use...

Sorry. Got busy and forgot to post. Here they are.

Those bulbs would not work in my F3. Just a simple three prong plug. No additional wires coming off of them.

Not only are these bulbs great at night, they are highly visible during daylight hours. You can't look at the lights with the brights on. A few flicks of the bright switch should get someone's attention!

Pics from the manual on how to install headlight bulbs!

Correct the Bulbs won't work! Your not just changing the bulbs but the whole assembly. The kit comes with a wiring harness that should be plug and play with the factory wiring harness and ballasts which on some RT'S drove Nanny a little crazy. I installed a set of HID on my RT from KBcarstuff a site vendor. Just make sure the Ballasts don't mess with Nanny! I would have probably gone with the Extreme set a little more costly but have a couple very nice features, low draw on start up and each bulb is individually fused.
Hope they work out lets us know.
