• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replace nut n bolts?

Picture below shows "New" for a lot of components in the rear wheel. Do we really have to get new nuts & bolts along with the cotter pin, O-rings, seals and bearings?

Most manufacturers suggest new nuts/bolts for many suspension parts because they can vibrate loose.

My personal opinion is that if you use a quality locktight compound on reassembly then new parts aren't necessary.

Funny how things held together fine w locktight for years and years and years, yet now vehicle manufacturers ask you to buy new.

MY WIFE WANTED TO REPLACE THE 'NUT', BUT I WOULDN'T GIVE HER A DIVORCE..... :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack: :roflblack:

The parts that they show "New" are components that are under high stress and are to be changed for safety. I will change the bearings and seals every other rear tire changes or every 30,000 miles(due to the type of riding I do) or if you put a lot of highway miles you can increase the mileage on bearings & seals. I get my nuts & bolts, cotter pins, and O-rings locally, due to they are lower in price. Make sure that you replace with the same grade of bolt & nuts, ...... That's IMHO.

THEY WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THIS

BRP also recommends if your Spyder even HICCUPS immediately stop ( safely - of course ) and transport your Spyder to the nearest DEALER so they can examine it.........Hopefully sometime during this riding season :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:......................IMHO if the company is not putting on parts that can be used at least TWICE something is very wrong ................................Mike

Little checking..!!

inspect the parts and replace if needed. If in doubt replace them. At 22,000 mile replacing my rear tire I saw no significant wear and replaced nothing. As a manufacturer they will recommend you replace everything with oem parts (safety, law suits, etc) if they could they would recommend you get a new roadster (great for sales)...:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: but I worked for dealers :lecturef_smilie:...now do my own work.. once again, if in doubt replace..
