• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing dash blank on 2018 RT

So, I want to run a power line through one of the blank covers on the dash below the handlebars and I am having a problem removing the blank cover. I don’t want to break the cover but I need to remove it to run the wire. Anyone know the technique?

They look like they should pop out but you actually need to cut the "blank" out. I fitted a Switch for Driving lights and had to remove the whole assembly to achieve this without damaging the plethora of cables underneath. I have some details if you need them.

I put a rocker style USB outlet on our RTL. The cover in the middle between the fog light and heated grip switch popped out with much persuasion, but i couldn't get the other ones to come loose.

The center blank has a round hole and there are two ways to get it out. One is to destroy it and two is to get at it from below. That requires removing the mirrors, side panels and some bolts to move the whole glove box so you can get to it. I suggest installing the USB outlet in the middle and any other switches in the other black spots.

If you're mounting a phone, try putting it on the dash and route the cable up through the windshield center mount.

Try searching on Youtube.

Flat tip screwdriver, pry up. It will break. Once out, install new switch/USB, whatever. Joe
