• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing Battery

How do you remove the Battery on a Spyder?
I think my battery is completely gone. I didn't use a battery tender over the winter and didn't start it in several months. I've had a battery charger on it for several hours today and it still doesn't have enough juice to start. Should I look for a new battery or is there something else that I'm missing??
Once before I had the same issue and I jump started it with off a car and it was fine, but since it's been sitting for so long this time around, I don't want to jump start it and risk getting stranding somewhere is the battery really is gone. Any advise, tips, recommendations and instructions on what to do will be greatly appericated!
Thanks in Advance.

Take the left side panel off the battery is under left grab handle you should be able to figure it out from there :coffee:

Before you replace it, disconnect it and clean the terminals and posts. Sometimes a bit of corrosion can prevent a proper charge. It's worth the small effort and delay. I agree that if you have to replace it, try not to use stock. BTW, if you do end up with a stock one, there is a special, lengthy prep process that must be followed.
