• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing and replacing battery on a Spyder RT

Are there any guides or tips to removing and replacing the battery on the spyder rt.

After removing all the left side tupperware and the passenger heater grip panel, along with the positive and negative terminal bolts, are there any other hold down bolts or wiring harnesses that should be disconnected and moved out of the way? Does the battery slide directly out the left side or is there some angle trick?

I think that Lamont posted a video about it... Take a little time, and see if you can find it by searching...

The battery slides out of its holder toward the rear. Haven't done it in a while but I recall that there is a cable or some such thing that can get in the way so you have to lift the battery as you slide it to the rear.

Be advised (I assume you have the OEM battery) you need to hold on to the "nut" behind the positive terminal (stop it from sliding out) as you remove the bolt! If you don't you may end up loosing it. Remove the nut for safe keeping before you attempt to remove the battery. A bit of duct tape on the down hill side of the terminal will help keep it there until you can remove it. And while you're at it be careful of the nut behind the negative terminal as well.
