• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing all body panels on 202x RT

My wife is getting a 2021 and wants to paint it a unique color. Has anyone come across any videos showing the removal of all the colored body panels? Our goal is to remove then, provide them to the painter, then reinstall them after they're painted.

Other than the frunk lid I've had all of mine off, not really a big deal. Do a search on here for 2020+ panel removal, also try youtube.

ALL the tupperware?? Not sure anyone's done that except maybe Lamont. I've had all (3) main side panels off aswell as the entire front end (to install the frunk liner) and I know a few who have peeled back the rear. Not sure anyone has removed the saddlebags, etc, though.

I have had most of them off. They only thing I have not done is take off the top panel with the controls. I would not even know how to do that. I just took off my back mirror covers and the lid to my top case this weekend. They are in paint today! I am having them done the red color to match the rest of the Spyder. I will post pics when I get them back. It was funny the local shop I took it to asked me to remove all the panels I wanted painted. Also ask me for the paint codes if I had them. He said they could paint it but only working on cars they did not want to try the panel removal on their own.

I hope you can find what you are looking for and can't wait to see the custom paint you come up with.

The only thing I have not done is take off the top panel with the controls. I would not even know how to do that.

That's easy. Once you remove the 3rd of the (3) main side panels on both sides, the control/switch panel will almost fall off on its own. The only thing holding it on (other than the wiring) are those (2) big pieces of tupperware. Might be some double sided sticky tape but when I removed both of those large pieces of tupperware to remove the front end, the switch panel moved about 2". If you only take 1 of those big panels off, you wouldn't know as the other side will hold the switch panel in place.
