• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

are u asking how to remove if so its a mongrul of a job there is about 6 screws that are 8mm u need to turn the bars slightly and remove the rubber surround use a long socket it will move dont give up they can be got at just takes time

May I suggest placing a towel all around the cowling to catch any screws that may fall :2thumbs::doorag::spyder2:

Doing this on an RS seemed to be a PITA, that was until I tried my hand at the RT... The RT is 100% worse!

Oops... Just now noticed this is a very old thread and the poor RS owner may still be looking for a dropped screw... :shemademe_smilie::roflblack:

BAR COVER

i just did mine yesterday, an 08 gs.there are 8 screws. use 1/4 in. drive with deep sockets if u can. 2 of the screws are half covered by the underneath cover, i had to carve out some plastic to get a socket on them. it was an extreme p i a. but i got it. after u get it all apart u can clean up your plastic cut areas. when u re assemble u can't see under the bars anyway. the extra 2 screws are up close to the ign. switch. good luck, just be patient.
