• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removal of throttle handgrip

We purchased the Vista-Cruise throttle lock. My question is how do you take the handgrip off. We thought soapy water and a screwdriver. Do we just try harder? We are still going to use the stock handgrips. Thanks

Screwdriver and WD-40 works just dandy. Be careful with the screwdriver to not crack the plastic throttle sleeve.

If you have an air compressor, use it between the rubber and sleeve to "inflate" the rubber while you're pulling it off.

My throttle side handgrip came right off with a screw driver, it's like it was never glued on. My left side grip took a little more effort, some WD 40 and some wiggling of the screwdriver. There was obviously a lot more glue used on that side. There was even some residue left on the bar when I took the grip off.

Reason: The throttle side has a series of raised "male" surfaces on the plastic sleeve designed to mate with "female" slots molded into the rubber grip.
