• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removal of panels - What tool????

All the tools you need to do a lot of the work on the :spyder2: are either under your seat ( RT model ) or in the frunk of the RS. You need to look in your manuel as to how the panels remove as some of them you just pull off while others require the torec screwdriver or the removal of push-pin devices .

push-pin devices

Don't remove those they hold studs that attache to grommets...:lecturef_smilie:...

Freebob...:doorag:

If this is your first time digging around under the Tupperware I'd suggest pulling out your manual and spending a couple of days digesting the section on panel removal...

Hubby, has the panels removed now thanks for the help on that and the manual.
We have the GPS wire threaded and ready to hook to the battery. Hubby is going to see about getting GPS sound in the helmet too.
14 days to go till our trip to Niagara Falls, Americade. :ohyea:

What tool does it take to remove panels from the :spyder:?

Picked this up at Lowes. Kobalt racheting driver with torx, slotted, philips, allen head assortment plus 8 + 10 mm sockets. 5 more SAE sockets also. $10.00 for the little kit.

Pretty good quality for the money and has a nice little case also so you can throw it in the trunk. Added a 10MM box head wrench for $2.75.

The stuff in the tool kit is kinda junkie. Air gauge seems to work OK though.
