• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How difficult is it to remove these (Bigger mystery) side panels?

Thanks for the help on the fuel filter change.
Today getting into it had to stop.
How much of a pita in removal of the black plastic panel under the color panels?

Watch the video link I posted.

Starting at 27 seconds he pulls the small black panel that's just in front of the seat.
Then he pulls the colored panel that stretches along side the bike from just in front of the saddlebags to under the black panel.
Then the last step is to remove the much larger colored piece that stretches from the seat all the way up to the frunk.

It's the BIG black panel when you take off the access panel, then remove the color panel that runs to the front by your knee through to the rear by the passenger - remove that. Now the big black panel that is exposed is the one I'll need to replace the ff filter.

Okay, I have no idea, other than stopping the video link when the colored panel is being removed there appear to be screws, probably the same type as some that you remove for the large colored panel.

I'm sorry I couldn't help. :(

That same black "kick panel" right above the floorboard is loose on the left side of mine. (There is obvious in and out play, especially in the top right corner of it.) I plan on tearing that side off soon to see why, unless it's normal. My guess is some plastic clip somewhere is broken, especially if this is the panel removed for oil changes. (The right side is solid)

To remove the large black panel:
- remove gloss black panel in front of seat (pops off)
- remove painted strip below seat (pops off)
- remove painted panel from frunk to seat (3 bolts and 3 poppers)
- (Not required but may make it easier to take off big panel) remove the small gloss panel (screws)
- remove passenger footrest (1 bolt)
- remove floorboard (3 bolts)
- remove large black panel (poppers, bolt and careful manipulation)
