They were originally Cliff Richard and the Drifters until the American Drifters vocal group forced a name change to Cliff Richard and the Shadows.
Hank was one of the more lyrical guitarists around and I, at the time was a more jazz type guitarist having been more keyboard oriented (Hammond organ). We couldn't easily obtain American guitars so I was around when quite a few groups in the UK were using Burns equipment 'cos you couldn't get Fender equipment.
Yes I remember the Tornados and Brian Poole and the Tremeloes, Marty Wilde and the Wildcats.....good music and I can still play the hell out of a lot of it.....and I still use Burns guitars.
