There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Reluctantly let my 2 wheeler go

When I purchased my Spyder, Oct. 2008, I kept my 2003 Yamaha FZ1 (purchased in 2003).

Being a multiple motorcycle owner and avid rider for many years it surprised me that I gradually started to ride the FZ1 less and less and the Spyder more and more - finally not riding the FZ1 at all for 6 months.

I sold the FZ1 last week to a really nice young couple from Quantico, VA. The young man is in the Marines and soon to be relocated to Hawaii. He was like a kid in the candy store when checking out my mint FZ1. The FZ1 will be shipped free for him as part of his household goods.

I feel like I lost a buddy but know that it is in good and appreciative hands and will be ridden.

Has anyone else given up their two wheeler???

Yup. The prettiest bike I have ever owned. My BMW R1200C. Ivory and blue but never ride it now.

Still trying to sell it.

I almost gave up the Valk but decided to just keep it and ride it at least once a week. I didn't ride it for about a year... after the Spyder... but it was nasty trying to get six carbs pumping again.

Not yet...

Not yet, but seriously considering selling my softail. I've only ridden it a couple of times since I got the Spyder.

Over my dead body! My only regret is that there is not enough time in a day/week/month to ride them all. Of course this comes from the geezer that still has the bike he raced when he was 18. :D

Yep, sold my VTX this Spring, after not having ridden it much since buying the Spyder --

Then my Spyder engine blew and I sure wish I had the VTX back.

But I probably would have sold it again once I get Spyder back next week.

In the meantime, looking at cheaper alternatives for a back-up ride. right now its NInja 500, FZ6R, or VFR... we'll see what happens by next spring..

Not yet. Tried selling it road side and on Craigslist(not trying real hard) with no luck. I ride it to work once every couple of weeks. Last week I was glad I still had it. A friend of mine came to visit that I hadn't seen in a few years. We got to talking about our Harleys and he said he wished he had his with him so we could go for a ride. I told him to come out to the garage I had something to show him. He saw the Spyder, said OH My God you got one of those, and off we rode. Had a great time.

I have liked all my bikes . . . .

. . . . up until early last year, my Honda 900 Custom was The bike for me.

Until I got my BMW650GS. On road, off road, trails, expressway, just fantastic. Real riding, and just under 70mpg. 1 clylinder, 2 plugs - Rotax. Love that bike and all the places it can go. ( a couple pics in my album here )

I have been thinking about listing it, but just have not got around to it. I have hardly put any miles on it since I got the Spyder.

I would happily sell if I could find it a good home like BeRight, but, there must be a little Scotty in me, I am not doing much about it.

I actually did the exact opposite, sold the Spyder because I found myself wanting to ride 2 wheels more than the Spyder. I always had at least one 2 wheeler in the garage along with the Spyder but just felt like the Spyder was to expensive of a vehicle to sit so I let it go. I'm now back to 2 bikes in the garage.

I sold my Ultra Classic last fall. Didn't miss it for a while, but now I do miss having a 2 wheeler. Thinking about getting a Harley Deluxe again...

I did the opposite. The spyder being my first bike, it made me want a two wheeler. So, two weeks ago I got a brand new Harley Iron 883 and a Buell Lightning for the wife.

Now we have 3 bikes in the garage and will need to expand soon I this continues.

Those FZ1's are nice bikes! I gave up my Harley Softail for my :spyder:. I couldn't afford both.:dontknow:

Thank you for the complement about the FZ1. Few people seem to know about this bike. At 9K RPM, hold on - those four carbs open wide and off you go like a rocket.

I rode the FZ1 one last time before selling to make sure all was O'K and I almost decided not to sell. I had forgotten how fast and how much fun the turns were on the FZ1.

Two Wheeler Gone

I sold my Kawasaki Concours when I bought the Spyder. It was a great bike and I owned it for more than eight years (purchased new in June 1999). I had some great trips on it, but I have to say I am enjoying the Spyder experience so much, I don't miss it at all. :2thumbs:

Many of the engineers at work ride them and I see a few out in the parking lot but I always hear them talking about them and what they can do - I hear they ride sick fast! Plus they are nice looking.
