• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RELEASE FOR THE FRUNK

Yesterday, my frunk would not open with pushing the ignition key in and turning counter clock wise. On YouTube, a recommendation was made by pushing hard at the top of the hood and turning the key and walla, it worked. Funny thing, the reasons given would have been excessive stuff in the storage compartment pushing up on the lid causing the problem. But, my storage area was mostly empty. Now here is the real question, there is also located on the rocker switch on the bottom of the switch a push to open the frunk. This does not work. It seems to me when the recall air scoops were added that switch was deactivated. Are there any ideas if there was a deactivation? Thanks

My switch on the console no longer opens my frunk after the recall for heat on 2013 Rt . I called the dealer and asked them about that and they only told me they would look into it next time it's in. I'm interested to see what answers you get to this. I'm following this post.

FRUNK

I also had the recall done and my switch wouldn't work .I assumed someone had disconnected a wire. The dealer said the switch was bad and replaced the switch, still under warranty, works fine now. 2013 RTL

That was my video and one thing I suggested in that video was to check your rubber gasket around the frunk lip. If that pops off or gets out of whack, it easily makes the trunk stick.

Also if you trunk switch quit working, check the easy thing first. The internal switch in the trunk that tells the system the trunk is closed.

I have a 2013 RT-S with the heat recall work done. My frunk release works just fine. Maybe you have a faulty switch.
